About Us
Best Health Family Home began with a simple belief: our elders deserve to spend their days surrounded by warmth, respect, and the small comforts of a real home. Today, our four licensed Adult Family Homes in Renton, Newcastle, and Des Moines carry that belief into everything we do — from the smell of breakfast in the kitchen to a caregiver's gentle hand at bedtime.
Our experienced caregivers know every resident by name, by story, and by preference. With only a few residents in each home, we can offer the individualized attention that larger facilities simply cannot — honoring each person's dignity, encouraging independence, and welcoming families as partners in care.
Our Homes
Every home is fully licensed, thoughtfully furnished, and cared for like the family residence it is. Open any home to see photos of the rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and yard.

Testimonials
"Our mother has received exceptional care. The staff truly treat residents like family — she calls it her home now, and that says everything."
"After Dad's stroke, we were overwhelmed. The team walked us through every step and gave him back his smile. We can finally sleep at night."
"The home-cooked meals, the garden my aunt loves, the caregivers who remember she takes her tea with honey — it's the little things that show how much they care."
"Mom's dementia made every facility feel wrong until we found this home. The caregivers are patient, gentle, and endlessly kind. She is safe and she is loved."
"We used respite care while I recovered from surgery. Two weeks later, my husband didn't want to leave! The peace of mind was worth everything."
"During my father's final months, the hospice support here was extraordinary. They cared for our whole family, not just Dad. We will never forget their kindness."
FAQ
Have a question we haven't answered? Reach out to our care team — we're happy to help.
An Adult Family Home (AFH) is a residential home licensed by Washington State to provide personal care, room, and board for up to six adults. Instead of a large facility, residents live in a real neighborhood home with 24-hour caregivers — a setting that feels familiar, calm, and personal.
Each of our homes cares for a maximum of six residents. This small size is the heart of the Adult Family Home model — caregivers know each resident deeply, and no one ever waits long for help or company.
All residents receive 24-hour care, medication management, home-cooked meals, housekeeping, laundry, personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, and daily activities. Specialized dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, hospice, and respite care are also available based on each resident's care plan.
Yes. We accept private pay, long-term care insurance, and Medicaid through Washington State programs. Funding senior care can feel complicated — our team is happy to walk your family through the options and connect you with the right resources.
Absolutely — family involvement is at the heart of what we do. We welcome visits and encourage families to join meals, activities, birthdays, and holidays. This is your loved one's home, and you are always welcome in it.

Yes. We offer short-term respite stays so family caregivers can rest, travel, or recover from illness or surgery, knowing their loved one is safe and well cared for. Respite residents receive the same full care and warm welcome as our long-term residents.
